Resident of Santa Cruz

Adam Charles Donoghue left us on May 26, 2024 as the result of a fatal automobile accident.

Adam was born June 16, 1978 in Pasadena, California, the son of Timothy and Joyce Schmidt Donoghue, and brother to Molly and Zachary Donoghue.

Adam and his family moved to Soquel at age 6. He went to middle and high school at Mt. Madonna School and then went on to study at Lewis and Clark College in Oregon.

Adam's much loved daughter Alyssa was born to him and Cynthia Satterlee in 1998.

He began his work career as a branch manager at First Alarm before going into flooring sales for 10 years. He was also a passionate artist and a bartender in Santa Cruz and the San Lorenzo Valley. He was most importantly described as a lover of life, music, art, dance and fatherhood. He looked after everyone and loved to bring people together. He was all inclusive, engendering laughter, joy and friendship with everyone he met and forged deep connections effortlessly. His friends described him as a passionate, caring, inspirational man who could always be counted on to help people through their hard times as well as celebrate their victories.

He was loved and will be missed by countless people from all walks of life.

Adam is survived by his daughter Alyssa, father Tim, sister Molly (Daniel) Harrar, brother Zachary and nephews and nieces Rafferty Donoghue, Lucy, Sadie, and George Harrar.

A celebration of life will be held at Felton Community Center on June 23, 2024 at 2:00. All are welcome.
