Advance ticket sales to the Taylor Swift concert film debuting in theaters globally last week have exceeded $100 million.

AMC Theaters Distribution and AMC Entertainment said Friday that milestone was reached as of Wednesday for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”

The film will debut on Friday in 8,500 theaters in 100 countries.

AMC said audience demand “has been incredible from the moment it was first announced.”

AMC said the film breaks its United States record “for highest single-day ticket sales” in its 103-year history.

“Advance ticket sales are strong across the United States, from the largest cities to the smallest towns, particularly in premium big-screen formats such as IMAX, Dolby Cinema, PRIME on AMC and other premium big-screen experiences.”

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” will screen at least four showings per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at all AMC locations in the U.S. It also will screen at all ODEON theaters in Europe.

The film is 2 hours and 48 minutes and features Swift’s history-making Eras tour that featured music from each decade of her career.

Swift has become a cultural phenomenon with the tour, movie and possible romance with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, generating viral content on social media, products including a Fireball Whisky lipstick, a limited edition Heinz Ketchup and “seemingly ranch” and soaring sales of Swift and Kelce clothing.
