Judith Woolsey Isaac (Judy) of Novato, CA passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, the day after her 91st birthday. She was born on January 15, 1934 in Oakland, CA, to her parents Leon & Natalie Woolsey. She is preceded in death by her big sister, Joan Adams (Woolsey). Judy grew up in Orinda, CA and graduated from Acalanes High School in 1951 and went on to study General Education at UC Berkeley where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and graduated in 1955.

Judy married the love of her life, Earl Isaac, in Carmel, CA on July 5, 1963. They settled down in Novato, CA where she lived full time until 1989 when she began splitting her seasons between Novato and Palm Desert, CA. Judy’s biggest passions were traveling and playing golf. She was a member of Marin Country Club in Novato for 60 years and a member at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert for 31 years. She was also a course rater for the Women’s Golf Association of Northern California and Captain/Rules Chair/Tournament Chair of the women’s 18-hole group at Marin CC over the years. Besides playing at her home courses, she would travel all over the U.S. and CA to play in tournaments.

Judy was known for her kindness, optimism, loyalty, caring, fun personality, and her philanthropy. She loved helping others in their time of need. One of her favorite charities was the Gary Sinise Foundation. She was always thankful for those who fought for our country and communities and putting their lives on the line (Thank you U.S. Military and First Responders) . Judy is survived by her three children. Her sons, Ken Isaac of Reno, NV, Tim Isaac of San Rafael, CA, and her daughter, Cynthia (Doug) Erickson of Scottsdale, AZ.

She is also survived by her grandson, Noah Erickson of Prescott, AZ, granddaughter, Emilee Erickson of Tuscaloosa, AL, and granddaughter, Robyn Erickson of Scottsdale, AZ.

Judy’s wish was to have a private ceremony with her loved ones.
