Mind blowing
As Democrats and mainstream media talk about the rights of illegal deportee Garcia, tens of millions of citizens are asking where were they when the rights of citizens were trampled on by the double standard order by the Biden administration.
Citizens, military people and first responders were punished for refusing the vaccine, meanwhile at the exact same time millions of illegals were let in with no proof of vaccine or set ups for vaccine shots, then immediately sent off to different cities. The hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Liar’s poker
Xi Jinping and Trump play liar’s poker. Unfortunately for Trump, bluff called. Market insiders win. Joe Six Pack is the big loser.

Easter and the triumph
Thank you so very much for your wonderful editorial on Easter Sunday, “Easter and the triumph over worldly, corrupt power.” I really needed to read this message!
I have been very angry, even hateful, with certain people over what is happening in our country, but your message reminded me of certain truths: “Jesus revealed the pretensions of the powerful of this world, whether that purported power resides in material wealth or political mastery, to be utterly empty ... The promise of Easter is that all who believe can not only share in the promise of eventual resurrection, but share already in a transformed life that amounts to living in the Kingdom of Heaven, whatever their sorrows and travails.”
That gave me a dose of much-needed joy and hope.
Also, Matt Fleming’s awesome column was equally inspiring. That’s why I love my Sunday paper!

The next governor
It’s obvious who the Republicans will choose to rally around as their gubernatorial pick. It will be whoever the leading Democratic candidate chooses to campaign against. It was a genius move by Schiff to go up against Garvey because there was no way in 2024 and for that matter 2026 that a Democrat in a statewide election was going to lose to any Republican especially in a year when the Republicans were in the White House and Democrats have greater motivation to turn out.
I’m a lifelong progressive Democrat and I voted for Garvey in the primary, not because I wanted him to be our senator but rather because I didn’t want two Democrats competing in the General Election where dollars and volunteers time would be wasted on that campaign rather than on flipping congressional seats.
The 2026 gubernatorial contest is just a repeat of that same scenario, and I will join the Republicans in the hope that they are able to send a sacrificial lamb to the general election.

The fear and the eveil
The miasma of fear and evil that is the Trump administration continues to seek more ways to harass or harm those they consider enemies.
From cutting benefits or services to those who really need them, they continue to enlarge their targets to bully and harass those who are less able to defend themselves.
And most of these folks are in large part non-White, poor, disabled or elderly. The true nature of those who cling to support of these hate-mongers is shown by the fact that only now are some of them having queasy feelings about this agenda as they see their 401(k) accounts rapidly diminish due to chaos brought about by deranged “economic policy.”
And now that this president and his minions have unleashed DHS and ICE goon squads to roam around spreading fear and the heads of these agencies have begun a campaign of intimidation we can see that orders have gone out to embark on a scare campaign.
The recent “visit” by agents to a school in South Los Angeles is just the most recent example.
The agents demanded to be allowed to enter the school to “interview” students and were refused entry.
Clearly this was not normal: the agents refused to identify themselves, show any paperwork and gave as the reason for their attempted visit a completely bogus and unsupported excuse, that they had been alerted by parents or guardians about unspecified “abuse,” which was lies.
Fortunately the school staff refused them entry and LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho completely backed them up. Shades of the KGB knock on the door in the middle of the night. Maybe this trick was picked up from Trump’s pal, the ex-KGB murderer in Moscow.
We need to be alert and resisting. All these operations begin by attacking those on the fringe, casting them as enemies, while all the time steadily enlarging their targets to solidify their power.
Do not be deceived.
You might be safe now but your time can come.
