This year’s Riverside Philharmonic spring concert will showcase the music of Mozart and Schubert.

The performance will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Riverside.

Music director Tomasz Golka will be the featured violin soloist on Mozart’s “Violin Concerto No. 3.”

Golka has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in violin from Rice University and also studied the instrument with Tadeusz Wronski and Marina Yashvili, a news release states.

Selections also will include a piece by Wojciech Kilar, who wrote film scores for films such as “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” “The Truman Show” and “The Pianist.”

The concert will be sponsored by longtime board members Donna Knox and Virginia Blumenthal.

The performance is at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 4495 Magnolia Ave., Riverside.

Tickets, which are $60, are available online at www.riversidephilharmonic.org/
