Passed away peacefully on Oct. 24, 2024 Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 29th, at the Church of Saint Cecilia located at 2357 Bayless Place, St. Paul, MN 55114.<br><br>Service will begin at noon, with visitation at the church one hour prior. A luncheon will immediately follow the service, in the lower level of the church.<br><br>Patricia was born on April 21, 1933, to Martin and Florence Rathmanner of New Prague, MN. She was the oldest of 6 children. After school she went on to obtain her nursing degree, completing her education at the University of Minnesota and the College of St. Catherines.<br><br>Patricia became an active fisherwoman, belonging to Women’s Anglers of Minnesota for many years, sharing that passion for fishing with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting Ireland, Japan, Italy and many other desirable locations. She loved taking trips with her family and friends!<br><br>After her retirement, Pat could often be found at her cabin on the Whitefish chain of lakes, where she continued to welcome her loving family and friends.<br><br>Preceded in death by her parents; husband William McDonald; husband Richard Smith; brother Martin; sister Catherine; son Michael; and daughter Mary.<br><br>Patricia is survived by sisters Maryellen Steveken, Margaret Sharkey and Ann (Dan) Walker; children Margeret (David) Romero, William McDonald and Catherine McDonald; 8 grandchildren; and 1 greatgranddaughter.<br><br>All are welcome to join the family for the interment following the luncheon.<br><br>The interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Cemetery 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55408. Please convene on the west side of the Memorial Chapel. You will see “funeral parking only” signs.<div></div><br>
