Police seek help finding missing man
Broomfield Police Department is seeking more information about a man from the Aurora area — whose truck was found in Broomfield — who was reported missing earlier this month, according to a news release.
Paul Aragon, 34, was reported missing by family May 8 and had been living in his truck at the time he went missing, according to the release.
He is believed to have been working in the Lakewood or Littleton areas.
“Why his truck was found in Broomfield has yet to be determined,” the release from Broomfield police said.
A Broomfield officer saw Aragon’s truck around 3:15 a.m. May 2 in a construction area off Edgeview Drive near the WoodSpring Suites, the release said.
The truck’s engine was running, with the lights on and a dog inside, according to the release.
Officers searched the area by foot and drone and found nothing suspicious, and Aragon did not answer a phone when officers tried to reach him, the release said.
Another officer stopped to check on the vehicle and dog May 3, and the dog was removed and taken to a local shelter due to concern for its welfare, the release said.
Aragon’s mother contacted police, wanting to report him missing and said she had not heard from him since April 28 or 29 and he “no showed” for work May 5, the release said.
According to an endangered missing alert from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Aragon is described as white with black hair and brown eyes; 5 feet, 8 inches tall; and weighing 145 pounds.
Authorities ask that anyone with information about Aragon contact Detective Coleman at 303-438-6400 or at acoleman@broomfield.org.
