June 15, 1953 - Dec. 24, 2022 Resident of Aptos Susan was born in Trenton, New Jersey on June 15, 1953 and passed away peacefully at her home in Aptos surrounded by family and close friends on December 24, 2022 due to heart disease. She was the middle child born to Guy and Del Kachel. Her father being employed in the construction field meant the family moved often but Susan made friends wherever she ended up. Her family settled in Aptos and she graduated from Aptos High School. After a short marriage and the birth of her two sons, she became a paralegal and worked for several attorneys throughout Santa Cruz County.

Susan leaves behind her two brothers, their wives, and children; Bob and Brenda Kachel in Ceres, Ca, and Tom and Candice Kachel from Whitman, AZ, and many dear friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her two sons Ryan Potts and Justin Potts and her parents Guy and Del Kachel.

A Celebration of Life will be held in June 2023.
