BURGLARY CHARGED: Howard Johnson Jr., 33, Chicago, and LaCarlynn D. Corbett, 24, Chicago, were arrested Jan. 31 at a home improvement store parking lot and subsequently charged with burglary in connection with a residential break-in in the 12000 block of Lavergne Avenue, police said.

Burbank

STORE BURGLARY: Three individuals used a sledge hammer to smash their way through a front door and interior window at Star Buds, 7844 Cicero Ave., at 4:40 a.m. Jan. 12 but left with only two T-shirts after failing to access any commercial cannabis products, police said.

ROBBERY: Juan C. Sanchez, 35, 8000 block of Mulligan Avenue, Burbank, was arrested Jan. 29 on a warrant charging him with robbery Jan. 13 after taking the victim’s phone during in the 5200 block of 87th Street, police said. Sanchez is also charged with domestic battery and interfering with a domestic battery report, police said.

Evergreen Park

GUN POSSESSION: Ivan Garcia, 22, Chicago, was arrested Jan. 27 and accused of possessing a stolen firearm after officers recovered an unloaded 9 mm handgun from him at a warehouse club in the 9400 block of Western Avenue, police said.

GUN POSSESSION: Marco A. Rodriguez, 26, Chicago, was arrested Feb. 8 and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a loaded 9 mm luger from under his seat at 95th Street and Lawndale Avenue, police said.

Homewood

DEALING ALLEGED: Lewis Thomas, 34, 100 block of Maple Drive, Glenwood, was arrested Jan. 18 and accused of possessing 30-50 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver, drunken driving, disobeying a traffic light, disobeying a traffic-control device, illegally transporting alcoholic liquor, possessing drug paraphernalia and driving without proof of insurance, police said.

Justice

SHOOTING: Officers recovered 15 9 mm shell casings from a Jan. 28 afternoon skirmish involving four people in a store parking lot in the 8300 block of Roberts Road that sprayed bullets into a car, shattering the rear windshield and flattening two tires, police said. No one was harmed, police said.

Lansing

DRUG BUST: An East Chicago, Indiana man accused of selling drugs to an undercover officer was arrested Jan. 16 after officers recovered two digital scales and two clear plastic bags containing 7½ grams of suspected crack cocaine during a search of his hotel room in the 2400 block of 173rd Street, police said. James E. Harris, 33, is charged with manufacturing/delivering cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia

New Lenox

BURGLARY: Marquis J. Thomas, 24, 600 block of Price Avenue, Calumet City was sentenced to three years in prison Feb. 5 after pleading guilty to burglary of Cornerstone Jewelry on Lincoln Highway in March 2023, according to Will County records online. Thomas, who was credited with 545 days in jail, entered the business with Amarrion Ash, who was sentenced to 24 months in prison with credit for 364 days in jail Dec. 12 after pleading guilty to theft, court records show.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: Leonard R. Hunter, 27, Chicago, was arrested Feb. 11 on a warrant charging him with possessing child pornography, police said. Leonard had 68 files containing child pornography images that officers discovered during a search of his cellphone.

Oak Lawn

AUTO CRASH: Meagan Garcia, 31, 9400 block of Albany Avenue, Evergreen Park, was arrested and accused of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving, driving in the wrong lane, improper lane use, driving without proof of insurance and improperly possessing cannabis in a vehicle during an investigation of a five-vehicle collision at 95th Street and Mansfield Avenue, police said.

Orland Park

GUN POSSESSION: Aaron C. Medina, 18, 15000 block of West Avenue, Orland Park, was arrested Jan. 11 and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a handgun attached to a loaded magazine with a laser sight, police said. The minimum age to legally possess a firearm in Illinois is 21.

Peotone

BURGLARY ARREST: Terrell L. Ferrell, 26, Chicago, was arrested Feb. 6 by the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Task Force and is scheduled to appear in Will County court Feb. 13, charged with robbery in connection with the Jan. 4 theft of Illinois Lottery tickets from the Peotone Travel Center and Jan. 10 theft of lottery tickets, liquor and cigarettes from a gas station in the 2500 block of Cedar Road, according to police and court records online.

Tinley Park

DOMESTIC CONVICTION: A Chicago man with a history of domestic battery convictions was placed on two years’ probation Feb. 7 after pleading guilty to committing felony domestic battery at a hotel in the 18600 block of West Creek Drive Nov. 18, according to police and Will County court records online. Charles M. Jernagin, 45, who represented himself in court, was released from the Will County jail, where he remained since his arrest, court and sheriff’s online records show.

GUN POSSESSION: Latroyce M. King, 46, Kankakee, is scheduled to appear in Will County court March 24, charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in a vehicle, according to court records online. Officers arrested King Jan. 30 in the 18600 block of Harlem Avenue after recovering a 9 mm handgun attached to a loaded magazine, police said.

Will County

ARMED ROBBERY: Three gun-wielding males were charged for allegedly pointing guns at a Peotone man and his passengers when the man stopped to change his tire at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 7 near Kedzie Avenue on Will-Kankakee Road, sheriff’s police said. The men left with the man’s wallet, loose cash and a diaper bag containing a wallet, police said.

BURGLARY ARREST: Terrence O. Harris, 43, 100 block of Nanti Street, Park Forest, was taken into custody Feb. 4 on a warrant charging him with burglary, identity theft, unlawful possession of a credit/debit card and criminally damaging property, according to Will County court records online. The charge stems from an August 2023 interaction at Speedway, 7218 Lincoln Highway, in Frankfort Square, court records show.
