Resident of San Jose

Our beloved Gavin Cunha Drucker passed away on 11/23/2024 in San Jose, California.

He is survived by his parents Douglas Drucker and Gloria Cunha Drucker, his sister Natalie Drucker, a loving extended family and many friends. He will be remembered as a brilliant and loving person with exceptional abilities. Gavin attended Almaden Country School, Bellarmine College Preparatory, and the University of California, Santa Barbara for mechanical engineering. He was a playful, joyful, intelligent, curious, thoughtful and respectful boy. He was a determined, hard-working and diligent young man. He was courageous and forthright. He loved his family, his friends, his classmates and his teammates. Gavin loved building things, and was inventive and creative. His middle school Lego robotics team was selected to attend the international competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Gavin was a brilliant and amazing scholar who loved learning. He was exceptional in math and science. He was Valedictorian for his middle school class, and gave the graduation speech. He was a National Merit Scholar at Bellarmine.

He played in Almaden Little League, rowed for the Los Gatos Rowing Club, and played Lacrosse for the Vipers. He was a passionate and enthusiastic teammate. He was an amazing son, brother, friend, cousin, grandson, student, and nephew. Gavin’s passing creates a tremendous loss in many lives. Gavin unexpectedly passed due to a pulmonary embolism that led to cardiac arrest. He loved life and fought to stay here with us to the end. Services will be held on December 7th at11am at Holy Spirit Parish 1200 Redmond Ave San Jose 95120.
