Checkmate, Gwyneth Paltrow.
The actress and businesswoman shared a video on social media to shut down speculation she has a beef with fellow lifestyle entrepreneur Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
In a video posted Tuesday on her Instagram stories, Paltrow responded to questions from her followers and had a bit of fun.
“Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” one commenter asked.
Paltrow responds: “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” before asking someone off-camera, “Do you understand this?”
The camera then pans to the duchess, who raises her hands in an “I don’t know” gesture, shrugs and says, “Hmm.”
It’s not a stretch to imagine the women are friends, both being actresses with lifestyle brands and homes in Montecito.
Bates can have fun again after losing 100 pounds
Kathy Bates is feeling great these days. The “Matlock” star spoke with People magazine about her current projects and how her weight loss has changed her experiences on set.
“When I was so heavy in ‘Harry’s Law,’ I had to sit down in between every take, and it was awful,” she said, referring to her 2011 drama series. “I’m ashamed to have put myself through that, to be honest.”
Bates added: “But now that I’ve been able to get really healthy, I can move, I can breathe, I can have fun, I’m not sore.”
The actress, 76, has lost 100 pounds over several years. She said she initially lost 80 through diet and exercise and an additional 20 after starting a GLP-1 medication.
Lithgow calls ‘3rd Rock’ one of funnest gigs ever
Oscar-nominated actor John Lithgow, who has portrayed everyone from Winston Churchill to a cardinal at the Vatican, apparently really misses his days playing an alien. According to Lithgow, his years playing Dick Solomon on the NBC comedy “3rd Rock From the Sun” are a time he remembers fondly.
“It was the six happiest years as an actor,” Lithgow said on Monday’s episode of the “Smartless” podcast. “Just interacting with this great writing staff — the ‘3rd Rock’ staff was so terrific and it was so inane.”
Lithgow played the high commander of an alien expedition who lands on Earth with his alien cohorts posing as a family. It was a concept he described as “flat-out nutball farce.”
