A look at the matchups for the local teams playing in the CIF-SS girls soccer semifinals today:

DIVISION 3

Marina (10-5-6) at Bishop Amat (23-3-3), 3:30 p.m.: The top-seed Lancers have a 13-game unbeaten streak and junior striker Mimi Dominguez continues to deliver great performances. Dominguez scored all three goals in their 3-0 quarterfinal victory over previously undefeated Quartz Hill. Dominguez has a school-record 44 goals this season. The Lancers have great depth too, with Lenea Guerrero and Jasmine Delgado having 14 goals apiece. Denym McGinnis and Arianna Dominguez also figure into the attack. The Lancers are hoping to win their third CIF-SS championship and first since 2013. They will face a hot team in the semifinals. Marina beat Ayala in penalty kicks in the quarterfinals after a 0-0 tie and they have not allowed a goal in the playoffs, beating Crescenta Valley 5-0 and Webb 2-0 in the first two rounds.

DIVISION 4

Cerritos (22-0-2) at El Rancho (17-5), 3 p.m.: Crystal Moreno and Elyse Hernandez each scored in the Dons’ 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Viewpoint. Yammile Picon leads the Dons with 17 goals and Nayeli Alvarez has 14. The Dons have defended well all season, allowing only 28 goals. But they will have their hands full against top-seeded and undefeated Cerritos, which beat Don Lugo 3-2 in the quarterfinals. It was only the third time this season Cerritos has allowed two goals in a game. It has outscored its opponents this season 125-10. This will be a giant task for El Rancho.

DIVISION 5

Walnut (17-8-2) at Irvine Crean Lutheran (18-3-3), 5 p.m.: The No. 2 seed Mustangs are in the semifinals for the second straight season. They’re the healthiest they’ve been all season, and it has helped them in the playoffs. Sophomore Vianna Alvarez (12 goals) and freshman Isabela Aguilar (11 goals) lead the team in scoring. One of the keys for the team has been midfield playmaker Masyn Ramos, who gets their offense going. Ramos has been in and out of the lineup due to injuries, but has been available in the playoffs. Walnut advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 win over J.W. North, and it has allowed only one goal in the playoffs. Crean Lutheran opened the playoffs by knocking off top-seed Nuview Bridge 2-0 and beat St. Genevieve 2-1 in the quarterfinals. Crean Lutheran also has allowed only one goal in the playoffs.

DIVISION 6

Carter (11-5-4) at Schurr (18-6-4), 5 p.m.: Schurr has won 14 straight and has four straight shutouts, including all three playoff games. It advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory over top seed Xavier Prep. Schurr went undefeated in the Almont League but will have its toughest game yet against Carter, the No. 4 seed. Carter beat Jurupa Hills 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
