Colorado’s Travis Hunter earned All-Pac-12 honors twice in a vote of league coaches.
On Tuesday, the Pac-12 announced its all-conference honors, with Hunter landing on the first team defense at cornerback. He was also a second-team choice at the all-purpose/special teams spot.
Four other Buffs received recognition, as well. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, safety Shilo Sanders and punter Mark Vassett all earned all-conference honorable mention. Running back Dylan Edwards earned honorable mention in voting for freshman of the year.
Despite the Buffs (4-8, 1-8 Pac-12) finishing last in the Pac-12, Hunter was easily one of the top players in the conference, on both sides of the ball.
On defense, he posted 30 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups. He also had 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns on offense.
He’s the first player in the FBS in 25 years to have at least 50 catches and three interceptions.
Shedeur Sanders set a CU single-season passing record with 3,230 yards. He completed 298-of-430 passes for 27 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Shilo Sanders led the Buffs with 70 tackles and led the Pac-12 with four forced fumbles. He also had an interception, which he returned 80 yards for a touchdown against Colorado State.
Vassett averaged 44.37 yards per punt, including 16 punts of at least 50 yards. He had 22 punts inside the 20-yard line, 11 of those inside the 10 and six inside the 5-yard line.
Edwards finished with 620 total yards of offense, with 321 rushing yards and 299 receiving yards. He’s the first true freshman in CU history with at least 250 yards in both categories.
