Friends of the Library will hold fall book sale

San Bernardino’s Norman F. Feldheym Central Library will hold its fall book sale 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and the following Saturday Sept. 14.

The sale is organized by the Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library, and proceeds enable the Friends of the San Bernardino Public Library to sponsor programs at all four city libraries, including the summer reading program, according to a news release.

Books, magazines and other reading material, as well as DVDs, music and more will be available for purchase. On Sept. 14, the sale will feature a “fill the bag” promotion, in which patrons can fill a bag with books for $3.

The Feldheym Central Library is at 555 W. Sixth St., and the book sale room is on the south side of the library, with a separate entrance from the main library.

All sales are cash only, and no bills larger than $20 will be accepted.

In addition to the fall sale, there is an ongoing sale of books and music on the main floor of the Feldheym Library, next to the circulation desk. New items are added weekly.

Donations of books and magazines, DVDs and music in good condition for future sales are accepted at the Feldheym, Villasenor and Rowe libraries, and monetary donations are also accepted. The city’s Inghram Library is temporarily closed.

The Villasenor library is at 525 N. Mount Vernon Ave., and the Rowe library is at 108 E. Marshall Blvd.

San Bernardino libraries are open noon-8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
