In Loving Memory Charles Clare, 85, passed away at home. He was born inWorland, Wyoming, and graduated from the University of Wyoming where he had a double scholarship for academics and baseball. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. After a brief stint of teaching in Rawlins, Wyoming, he headed to Los Angeles where he met the love of his life, Camilla. After a brief courtship, they married and moved to the Bay Area.
Chuck was an avid golfer; sports fan and fly fisherman.
He spent many happy days at his family's cabin in The Big Horn Mountains fishing in Ten Sleep Creek. He never came home with an empty creel. He also enjoyed cooking, growing prize winning chrysanthemums, and referring football and basketball for the DVAL and EBAL Chuck had a long career teaching math at Ignacio Valley High School, Northgate High School, and retired from Diablo Valley College.
He was known for his keen wit and sharp eye for detail. He was a master storyteller and always kept his audience entertained and sometimes blown away. He had no filters, and his wife was often at a loss for words. Friends said that they never worried about him talking behind their backs because he said it right totheir face Chuck is survived by his wife, Camilla, twenty-two days short of their sixth wedding anniversary. It was along and happy marriage with lots oflaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Camilla, son John (Johnny), daughter Kathryn (Katie) son in law, Stephen Hedden, and three grandsons, Charles (Charlie) Luke, and Henry. We miss him somuch.
