Resisting arrest: On Oct. 29 at around 12:05 a.m., officers responded to a fight/party call at a residence located near the 2000 block of Heritage Parkway. Upon arrival, a 41-year-old Woodland resident Antonio Valdez was located. Valdez headbutted and kicked at officers. Valdez was arrested and transported to Yolo County Jail where he was booked for resisting/delaying an officer.

DUI arrest: On Oct. 29 at around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of E. Heritage Parkway and Parkland Avenue. They located a motorist, Irie Jocelyn Trevino an 18-year-old Woodland resident. Trevino was determined have been under the influence of alcohol while driving a motor vehicle. Trevino was arrested for driving under the influence and booked at the Yolo County Jail.

Elder abuse arrest: On Oct. 31, at 10:21 p.m., an elderly male resident located near the 800 block of W. Southwood Drive heard the sound of his front door being manipulated and went outside to investigate. He found an intoxicated 17 year-old male juvenile on the side of his property. The juvenile fled the location and the citizen followed the juvenile. The citizen attempted to detain the juvenile until the police arrived, but the juvenile kicked the elderly male victim. The impact knocked the victim to the ground. The juvenile then punched the victim in the face while still on the ground, causing a large area of swelling and discoloration. The juvenile was arrested booked at juvenile hall for elder abuse, felony battery and prowling.

HOST

HOST was short-staffed due to injury, vacations, patrol shortages and training. HOST officers attended a two-day firearm training this week. An applicant to a future HOST vacancy attended to HOST hotline calls and provided resources.
