Barbara M. Gewecke passed away in her home in Arcadia on May 1, 2023. She was born on May 22, 1936 in San Francisco, and was the oldest child of Dr. Robert and Madelene Bilafer. Roger, her husband of 55 years, passed away in 2014. She is survived by her four children, Roger Jr, Robert (Denise), Ellen Haines (Jason), and Stephen (Deborah). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren Alex, Austin, Trey, Brian, Dominic, Kellen and Kassandra Gewecke, and Jillian, Lara, Ashlyn, and Jason Haines. The oldest of six children, she is survived by her sisters Madelene Ennis and Beverly Viotti, and her brothers Robert and Michael Bilafer. Her sister Arlene Passalacqua predeceased her. She graduated from the University of Southern California and was an active member of Alpha Phi Fraternity and National Charity League (Los Angeles Chapter) A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 am at Holy Angels Church at 370 Campus Dr. in Arcadia.
