The Jackmans separate after 27 years of marriage

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Jackman have decided to end their marriage after 27 years and two children.

“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said in the joint statement. Their separation was first reported by People magazine.

They said the statement would be their only one on their breakup. They added that their family is their highest priority and that they’ll undertake “this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”

A representative for the couple confirmed the statement to The Associated Press on Friday.

The couple met in 1995 on the set of an Australian television show where both were actors.

Drew Barrymore ‘deeply apologizes’ to writers

Drew Barrymore is apologizing to television and film writers over her decision to resume production on her talk show as members of the Writers Guild of America remain on strike.

“I believe there’s nothing I can do or say in this moment to make it OK,” Barrymore said in an emotional video shared Friday.

Barrymore’s show drew protest from the union after announcing last weekend it would resume production without WGA writers contributing.

In her video shared Friday, Barrymore called the situation “complex” and said it was never her intention “to upset or hurt anyone.”

“It’s not who I am,” Barrymore said, appearing to get emotional. “I’ve been through so many ups and downs in my life, and this is one of them.”

“I deeply apologize to writers,” she added. “I deeply apologize to unions.”

Ryan Phillippe shares gratitude for sobriety

Ryan Phillippe is on a sobriety journey and is celebrating a major milestone.

“Officially the longest I’ve gone since I was a teen without some kind of nicotine or marijuana in my system (among other things…),” the “Cruel Intentions” actor wrote in the caption of a post on his verified Instagram page Thursday.

He continued that he’s “feeling thankful for the freedom that comes with breaking addictions and dependency on substance.”

“Sobriety, clarity, and spiritual connectedness feels real good,” he said at the end of his post Thursday.
