Oak Lawn police are seeking the public’s help in investigating a carjacking that took place Wednesday.
About noon, a female victim was sitting in her car in a parking lot in the 6200 block of West 95th Street when a man opened her car door and demanded she get out and get down onto the ground, police said Thursday.
The woman complied and the man left in her gray 2017 Hyundai Velostar, fleeing in an unknown direction, police said. The carjacker did not show a weapon or infer he had one, according to police.
The woman described the man as being in his mid 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, wearing a green sweater, blue jeans and a burnt-orange knit cap.
