2 hurt in rollover along Hwy 236

BOULDER CREEK >> Two occupants of a sports car traveling along a sinuous route in the Santa Cruz Mountains were injured Tuesday night after the vehicle flipped on a sharp curve, leading to an arrest.
Officers with California Highway Patrol’s Santa Cruz unit responded around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to a solo vehicle crash along Highway 236 in Boulder Creek, according to a social media post from the agency.
First responders arrived on the scene and found a 1990 Mazda Miata that had rolled over and come to rest on its roof along the roadway.
Both people in the car were injured, with the passenger sustaining major injuries.
The 25-year-old driver from Pacifica displayed signs of impairment and was arrested on charges of a felony DUI.
