Jerry Dwight Houston was born to Ruth and Don Houston on December 4, 1954 in San Jose, CA. He passed away from Central Nervous System Lymphoma on June 5, 2025 at the age of 70, surrounded by his family in Los Gatos, CA.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jill, and his daughters, Janelle and Jaclyn, son-in-law, PJ Kolnik, and 4 grandchildren, Ky, Levi, Theo, and Alice.

He was a beloved brother to his siblings, Gary, Terry, and Skip, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Jerry grew up in San Jose and attended Oak Grove high school where he played basketball and baseball.

Out of high school, he signed professionally as a pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies organization and later the New York Yankees organization. He continued to play softball competitively and recreationally for years following his professional career.

Jerry had a 43-year career in real estate predominantly in Saratoga and Los Gatos. He was an esteemed broker, mentor, real estate developer, and investor. Jerry loved mentoring newer agents and supporting first-time homebuyers.

He was committed to helping families get a footing by owning a home, building equity, or giving stability to their kids.

He was known for his humor, generosity, commitment to Jesus, making people’s day wherever he went, and always working on his golf swing. He will be deeply missed by his entire family and many dear friends.
