Lynn Hockenberger (Reithmiller) passed away suddenly on May 5, 2024 at the age of 84.

She is survived by her three children, Ian Hockenberger (Thelma Oliver), Amy Hochkam- mer (Karl Hochkammer) and Erin Hockenberger as well as her beloved grandchildren, Jenna Hochkammer, William Max Hochkammer, and Olivia Purnell. Born to William and Evelyn Re- ithmiller in Pittsburgh PA, Lynn attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, earning a BA in English. She later completed a Masters in English at Penn State University. In 1964, Lynn married the love of her life, William A.

Hockenberger, and they were married for 50 years until his death in 2014. Throughout the years, Lynn and Bill moved around the country with their three children, having the opportunity to live on the east coast, the west coast and in the Midwest.

They settled in Michigan in 1985 and decided to stay. Lynn worked at Oakland University as the Di- rector of Student Success Services from 1987 until 2005 when she retired. Lynn’s love of music was a big part of her life. She played the piano and sang in various choirs, including at church and at Fox Run Senior Living where she was a beloved mem- ber of the community.

Lynn was also an avid bridge player, crossword puzzler and reader. She enjoyed researching genealogy and spending time with her entire family. Lynn was a giver and she spent her life helping others while extending grace, love and warmth to everybody she knew. She will be loved and missed by many, especially her family.
