Resident of Santa Cruz
Don was the first child of Donald J Santos Sr. and Alice Santos. He had two sisters, Alice Ponza and Betty McGinnis.
Both preceded him to death.
Donald was raised in Santa Cruz County, attended school, worked on his parents' dairy farm, and later started his own business, Santos Excavating, which he ran for 25 years.
Don married the love of his life, Bonnie JKing, on May 11, 1952. They had four children, three of whom died and one living, Donald Santos III (Celeste). They adopted two children, Lance, K Santos, and Tamara Ann Santos.
They have four grandchildren: Laura Santos, Donald J Santos VI (Dejane'), Adam J Santos, and Bonnie M Santos.
They have four great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn (Jones) Santos, Alexandra Santos, Brayden, and Ava. They also have a great-grandchild, Cora.
Don and Bonnie were blessed with 72 years of marriage.
Given the opportunity to retire in his mid-50s, he and his wife traveled all around the world. They spent much of their travel time driving their Motorcoach, since he liked to be "on the road again." They explored the sites, history, and adventures throughout the United States of America. After all the travel, they settled in Riverside County, California.
Donald enjoyed traveling, golfing, visiting friends, and attending car club rallies and shows.
