Astronomy — A Visible Asteroid program: 7:45 p.m., Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain, 14950 N. 55th St., Longmont. In addition to naked-eye planets and stars, astronomers can also see the asteroid Vesta in May. Learn more about Vesta, plus discover the wandering paths of other asteroids and comets. Memorial Day service and picnic: 1 p.m. Monday, American Legion , 4760 28th St., Boulder. To honor Memorial Day, Boulder Post No. 10 American Legion will be hosting a program at the Legion. Following the program, attendees will adjourn to the pavilion for a wreath laying ceremony. The picnic will begin at 2 p.m. All Post 10 member organizations, veterans and their families and guests, and the public are invited to attend. The Post will provide the main course.
