The Matadores beat Warren (5-1) and Santa Fe (5-0) to advance to the semifinals of the La Mirada softball tournament. They will take on California in the semifinals Saturday.

2. CHARTER OAK (8-0)

The Chargers, who are fifth overall in the CIF-SS computer rankings, are 2-0 in the Valle Vista League. They finish the regular season with only league games on their schedule.

3. LA HABRA (15-6)

The Highlanders defeated Sonora (11-0) and El Dorado (2-1) to improve to 6-0 in the Freeway League. They have won five straight.

4. WHITTIER CHRISTIAN (17-5)

The Heralds lost to Downey 8-7 in the first round of the La Mirada tournament, but rebounded with a 9-1 win over Chino. They’re 5-0 in the Olympic League and take on Maranatha next.

5. GANESHA (14-4-1)

The Giants have seven games remaining, all against Miramonte League teams, which should net all wins. They dropped from No. 22 to No. No. 44 in the CIF-SS computer rankings despite winning twice last week.

6. CALIFORNIA (13-6)

The Condors have won six straight. They won both games in the La Mirada tournament, beating Schurr (13-4) and Granada Hills Charter (4-0), to reach Saturday’s semifinals.

7. SONORA (14-4)

The Raiders were no match to La Habra in an 11-0 loss last week. They also lost, 3-2, to Sunny Hills to drop to 3-3 in the tough Freeway League.

8. SOUTH HILLS (11-5-1)

The Huskies have rebounded well, winning three straight games, since a 6-0 loss to Los Altos. They won both of their games in the La Mirada tournament to reach Saturday’s semifinals against Orange Lutheran.

9. SCHURR (15-4-1)

The Spartans lost to California (13-4) in the first round of the La Mirada tournament, but secured a 3-2 victory over Los Altos in the second game.

10. LOS ALTOS (11-7)

The Conquerors lost both of their games in the La Mirada tournament on Saturday, falling to Granada Hills Charter (12-2) and losing to Schurr (3-2).
