After more than three years of imagination, teamwork and dedication, the Woodland Public Library is thrilled to unveil its brand-new Bookmobile.
Join the Bookmobile Kickoff Party on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at the library located at 250 First St.
The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a first look at the Bookmobile, train rides, hot cocoa, famous book character meet and greets and exclusive access to the debut of Woodland Public Library merchandise.
According to a press release, the Bookmobile is not just any library-on-wheels—it’s a rolling hub of learning, connection, and fun designed to bring the magic of the library right to your doorstep. The Bookmobile is packed with 3,000 books, DVDs, audiobooks, free Wi-Fi and an exciting lineup of engaging programs for caregivers and kids.
The Bookmobile will visit neighborhoods, parks, senior centers, and schools, making library services more accessible than ever.
The Bookmobile was a $650,000 project made possible by generous support — a testament to the power of community. Key funders include the California State Library, Priscilla Gordon Trust, city of Woodland Measure R and the Sunrise Rotary Foundation.
