Suzan Park Crochet, age 73, passed away of natural causes on January 24, 2025, at her home in Boulder. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 26, 1951, to Barr y and Jodi Park, Suzan grew up in several different cities while her Dad was in the oil industry, from Texas to California, and spent summers on her family's beloved ranch in Wyoming. Suzan met her husband, George Crochet, while attending Southern Methodist University and the two would go on to set US Federal Court precedent in their fight for racial justice, always pushing for positive change throughout their 53-year marriage. Suzan welcomed her first son, Damien, into the world in 1974 and her youngest son, Gerren, in 1983. Her family settled in Boulder, CO in 1988 where she lived happily until her death.

In Boulder, Suzan was a homemaker and supported her husband's business. She was an ardent supporter of her sons' childhood education and sports, and was extremely proud of both her sons' accomplishment of getting full athletic scholarships to Stanford University. Her creative passion throughout her life was fiber art. Over the decades her quilts were exhibited and privately commissioned, and she was a strong member of many Colorado quilting organizations. Suzan was always a positive contributor to her community, and was even inducted into the Donor Legacy Hall of Fame by The Family Learning Center in Boulder in 2020. Suzan is survived by her husband, George Crochet, to whom she was married for 53 years; her son Gerren Crochet, daughter-in-law Michelle Crochet and their children George and Gemma. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Damien Crochet, but is survived by her daughter-in-law, Anne Crochet, and their children, Arora and Jackson. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Family Learning Center in Boulder. Suzan will be forever in our hearts.
