Stat line: 11 for 25, 60 yards, one TD, five carries for 3 yards

Highlight: Nix conducted an impressive 11-play, 87-yard scoring drive in the third quarter to put Denver on top. He completed a 29-yard pass to Courtland Sutton on third-and-11 before connecting with the veteran wideout for an 8-yard touchdown pass — the first of Nix’s career. Earlier in the quarter, Nix found Sutton for a 23-yard completion.

Lowlight: Nix’s first-half performance was straight out of a horror movie. He was 7 for 15 for minus-7 yards. Yes, that’s correct. Nix did not complete a pass beyond the line of scrimmage throughout the first half.

Analysis: Sunday was a tale of two halves. In the first two quarters, Nix settled for check-downs and his accuracy down the field was bad. All of the issues he had in Weeks 1 and 2 were magnified. But the former Auburn and Oregon signal-caller was resilient. Nix didn’t let his poor play to start the game affect him. He didn’t appear to have issues with the ball slipping out of his hands and did a solid job at pushing the ball down the field.
