The Sunday letters
All those folks that wrote their anti-Trump anti-Musk letters on Sunday are, to be sure, not representing the young folks who see their futures being disparaged, unless and until the government gets their fiscal house in order. These same letter writers, I would wager, are also thousands of dollars in debt on their credit cards. They see the government’s largesse to worthless organizations and causes as nothing more threatening than they would do, were they to have the power. These young folks see these writers as the problem, not the solution. They want a positive and more freedom-oriented future, and they believe Trump will deliver that to them. Hang tough, young folks, there’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s got your back. You writers, get your financial houses in order. Write again when you’re debt free. Take a Dave Ramsey course, if you need help.

DOGE
Six for six Sunday letters don’t get it! Having a 35-year successful career at a large top defense contractor I lived through two buyouts. The buyer (winner) in both cases administered a zero baseline budgeting where every indirect, overhead function and person had to justify its existence, thereby eliminating the deadwood. Small businesses don’t survive without this as a continuous process. With our massive debt this is essential and we should applaud Trump and Elon! I know there are too many pencil pushers in DOD and the other bloated agencies. This painful process, conducted quickly, will only make us leaner and meaner. Way to go!

Anti-Trump writers
Every single letter that you published on the Opinion page was a Trump-bashing letter! Every single one! Certainly you could have dug up at least one Trump-supporting letter. I was under the impression that newspapers were in the business of presenting both sides of the issue, maybe presenting an unbiased accounting of the news. Not feeling that with this newspaper. What has happened to this newspaper that I used to love to read? Your disdain for Trump and his supporters is so obvious. You complain about Trump not having a kind word for anyone. Where are your kind words about anything Trump has done? Not one kind word. Surely you could muster up a few kind words from us Trump supporters, even if you put them on the back page!
