Diamondbacks: Eugenio Suárez hit a go-ahead, two-run double off Raisel Iglesias to cap a seven-run ninth inning, and the Diamondbacks stunned the Braves 11-10 on Thursday in Atlanta to sweep the three-game series. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a one-out homer in the ninth and Alek Thomas followed with a two-run shot, both off Scott Blewett, to get the Diamondbacks within 10-7. After Blewett walked the next batter, the Braves brought in closer Iglesias (3-5), who allowed hits to four of the next five to blow a save for the fourth time this season. Ketel Marte homered for the Diamondbacks in the eighth and had an RBI infield single in the ninth that made it 10-8. After Iglesias got a popup for the second out, Ildemaro Vargas hit an RBI single and Suárez completed the rally with his line drive to left. Shelby Miller worked the bottom half to pick up his sixth save for the Diamondbacks, who have won four straight. Kendall Graveman (1-0) pitched the eighth. Ronald Acuña Jr., Austin Riley and Drake Baldwin homered for the Braves, who have lost four straight and 11 of 14. The Braves had scored just five runs in their previous three games but finished with 12 hits, eight for extra bases. Diamondbacks starter Brandon Pfaadt allowed six runs (five earned) in three innings. He has an 11.09 ERA in his last five starts. Tommy Henry surrendered three homers in relief.

Brewers: Brandon Woodruff has a bruised right elbow after getting struck by a line drive while on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville. Woodruff left his appearance on Tuesday after getting hit by a 108 mph liner off the bat of Gwinnett’s Cade Bunnell. He had an X-ray and other testing to confirm the diagnosis of a bruise. A 32-year-old, two-time All-Star, Woodruff last pitched in the majors on Sept. 23, 2023. He suffered a shoulder injury that year that required surgery.

White Sox: Tim Elko singled and scored pinch runner Korey Lee in the 10th inning to give the Chicago White Sox a 3-2, walk-off win over the American League-leading Detroit Tigers on Thursday. With the win, Chicago split the four-game series. The Tigers had swept the White Sox in April in the first of four series between the teams this season. Rookie infielder Chase Meidroth went 2 for 2 with three walks and an RBI for the White Sox. Josh Rojas was 3 for 4 with a run scored. Reliever Steven Wilson (2-1, 1.89 ERA) worked a scoreless 10th inning for the win, stranding two baserunners.
