Tyler Winkles, Acalanes, 5-11, 185, junior: Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division co-MVP threw for 2,715 yards and 28 touchdowns. Also rushed for 356 yards and seven touchdowns, leading Acalanes to an 11-1 record and a league championship.

Second team

Arjun Banerjee, California, 5-11, 178, senior: East Bay Athletic League first-team selection threw for 1,555 yards and 18 touchdowns. Led California to an 8-4 record and a North Coast Section Division II semifinals appearance.

Berell Staples, McClymonds, senior: Alameda County player of the year led McClymonds to Oakland Section and NorCal Division 3-AA titles. Threw four touchdown passes in win over Oakland Tech in the Silver Bowl.

Vincent Maiorana, Amador Valley, 5-9, 185, senior: EBAL Mountain Division offensive player of the year rushed for 1,682 yards and 20 touchdowns. Caught 27 passes for 383 yards and two scores.

Lamar Ellis, Bishop O’Dowd, 5-8, 190, junior: All-West Alameda County Conference Foothill Division first-team selection rushed for 1,113 yards and 17 touchdowns in seven games. Helped lead O’Dowd to the CIF Division 5-AA state title.

Jaden Jefferson, De La Salle, 5-9, 170, senior: Rushed for 1,048 yards and 12 touchdowns. The North Carolina commit also was a lockdown corner for De La Salle.

Carlton Perrilliat, Salesian, 6-5, 185, senior: All-TCAL Rock Division first-team selection caught 49 passes for 944 yards and 19 touchdowns. Also had three interceptions and 28 tackles on defense.

Malakai Taufoou, Serra, 6-2, 200, junior: WCAL defensive back and BANG Peninsula player of the year racked up 46 tackles and had four interceptions, Added seven rushing touchdowns for a team that captured CCS Division I title.

Kenneth Ward, Pittsburg, 5-8, 175, sophomore: All-Bay Valley Athletic League first-team selection caught 47 passes for 924 yards and 11 touchdowns. Anchored Pittsburg’s run to its fifth consecutive NCS Division I title as a lockdown cornerback.

Diego Arias, Piedmont Hills, 5-10, 155, senior: BVAL Santa Teresa-Foothill Division co-MVP caught 58 passes for 1,012 yards and 12 touchdowns. Was a force on defense, totaling 45 tackles, seven interceptions and two sacks.

Maurice Hall, Hayward, 5-11, 180, senior: Rushed for 1,182 yards and 18 touchdowns while also catching 22 passes for 372 yards and five touchdowns. Earned all-WACC Mission Division first-team honors.

Gage Jones, Live Oak, 5-7, 170, junior: Jones rushed for 2,207 yards and 24 touchdowns on 300 carries. Was named the BVAL Mt. Hamilton Division junior of the year.

Yasser Jackson, Oakland, 6-3, 175, senior: Colorado State commit was a force as a tight end and defensive end. Caught five passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns and added nine tackles in a 48-20 win over Oakland Tech.
