Joshua Jefferson made two free throws with 4.1 seconds left in overtime after forcing it with a buzzer-beating layup, and third-ranked Iowa State won its 11th consecutive game, 85-84 over host Texas Tech on Saturday.

Jefferson finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. He had the last six points for the Cyclones (14-1, 4-0 Big 12), with four free throws and a layup in the final minute of overtime.

Chance McMillian, JT Toppin and Christian Anderson each had 18 points for Texas Tech (11-4, 2-2).

NO. 1 TENNESSEE 74, TEXAS 70: Zakai Zeigler scored 16 points and the visiting Volunteers beat the Longhorns in Tennessee’s first game since a 30-point blowout loss earlier in the week at No. 8 Florida.

The Volunteers are 15-1, 2-1 in the Southeastern Conference.

Tre Johnson scored 26 points for Texas (11-5, 0-3).

NO. 2 AUBURN 66, SOUTH CAROLINA 63: Tahaad Pettiford assisted on Dylan Cardwell’s go-ahead dunk and converted two free throws with 4.4 seconds remaining as the visiting Tigers (15-1, 3-0 SEC) overcame an ankle injury to leading scorer Johni Broom and rallied to beat the Gamecocks.

Collin Murray-Boyles had 25 points for South Carolina (10-6, 0-3).

NO. 4 DUKE 86, NOTRE DAME 78: Cooper Flagg scored an Atlantic Coast Conference freshman record 42 points to help the host Blue Devils (14-2, 6-0) hold off the Fighting Irish and stay unbeaten in conference play.

Markus Burton scored 23 points for Notre Dame (7-9, 1-4).

NO. 5 ALABAMA 94, NO. 10 TEXAS 88: Mark Sears scored 27 points, Aden Holloway added 15 and the visiting Crimson Tide (14-2, 3-0 SEC) beat the Aggies.

Guard Zhuric Phelps led the Aggies (13-3, 2-1) with 24 points.

NO. 6 KENTUCKY 95, NO. 14 MISSISSIPPI STATE 90: Jaxson Robinson scored a season-high 27 points and the visiting Wildcats (13-3, 2-1 SEC) made 16 of 32 3-pointers in a victory over the Bulldogs.

Cameron Matthews led Mississippi State (14-2, 2-1) with 19 points.

NO. 8 FLORIDA 71, ARKANSAS 63: Alijah Martin scored 14 points and three teammates also scored in double figures as the visiting Gators (15-1, 2-1 SEC) defeated the Razorbacks.

Adou Thiero scored 17 points for Arkansas (11-5, 0-3).

NO. 9 UCONN 68, GEORGETOWN 60: Alex Karaban scored 19 points, Solo Ball added 15, and the visiting Huskies bounced back from their first conference loss of the season to beat the Hoyas.

UConn (13-4, 5-1 Big East) fell 68-66 at Villanova on Wednesday.

Curtis Williams Jr. had 15 points for the Hoyas (12-4, 3-2).

GEORGIA 72, NO. 17 OKLAHOMA 62: Dakota Leffew and Asa Newell each scored 15 points and the host Bulldogs (14-2, 2-1 SEC_ held off the Sooners 72-62 for their second consecutive win over a Top 25 team.

Jalon Moore led the Sooners (13-3, 0-3) with 17 points.

NO. 18 GONZAGA 88, WASHINGTON STATE 75: Graham Ike had 21 points and seven rebounds and the host Bulldogs (14-4, West Coast Conference) pulled away from the Cougars after a back-and-forth first half to earn the victory.

Washington State (13-5, 3-2) was led by Nate Calmese’ 20 points.

LONG BEACH STATE 84, UC DAVIS 73: Devin Askew’s 32 points led the visiting Beach over the Aggies. Askew had five assists for Long Beach State (7-10, 3-2 Big West Conference).

WOMEN

NO. 7 UCONN 73, GEORGETOWN 55: Azzi Fudd scored 21 points and the visiting Huskies (15-2, 6-0 Big East) beat the Hoyas.

Khadee Hession scored 22 points for Georgetown (8-8, 1-4).

The Huskies were playing their second game without leading scorer Paige Bueckers (ankle sprain).

NO. 8 MARYLAND 83, WISCONSIN 68: Bri McDaniel and Shyanne Sellers each had 21 points as the visiting Terrapins (15-1, 5-1 Big Ten) beat the Badgers. Sarah Williams had 24 points for Wisconsin (10-7, 1-5).
