Patty Gail Irwin (née Wardensky), aged 86, of Wellston and formally of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on August 9, 2024. Born on April 25, 1938, in Grandview, West Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Carper Wardensky. Patty’s life was marked by her devotion to her family and community. She married Willie Irwin on September 3, 1955, in West Virginia, and together they shared 55 loving years until his passing. Patty spent 25 years as a respected bartender at the 300 Bowl, where she was known for her warm hospitality and friendly demeanor. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family, including her children, Beverly (late Ed) Weeks, daughter-in-law Maryann (late Benny) Irwin, Micheal Irwin (Kim Curtis), Janice (Ed) Arnold, and Teresa Irwin. Patty was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, with another great-great-grandchild expected soon. She is also survived by her sister, Dreama Collins. Patty was predeceased by her husband, Willie, sons Benny and Richard Irwin, and sister Betty Jo Thompson. A Memorial Dinner to celebrate Patty’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clarkston Eagles, 5640 Maybee Rd., Clarkston, MI 48346. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Patty’s name to the charity of your choice, honoring her spirit of generosity and community support.
