BOOKS TO DEVOUR
Amy Kellogg suggests “Astrid & Apollo and the Blast from the Past,” a book written by St. Paul native V.T. Bidania, as kids choose a free book outside the Frogtown Community Center in St. Paul on Thursday. Capstone Publishing has paired up with St. Paul Public Schools to give away 1,000 children’s books at SPPS food truck events this summer in the hopes of encouraging students to read. Capstone will also give away books at the SPPS food truck on Aug. 15. SPPS provides summer meals at no cost to all children 18 and under and to those with a disability currently enrolled in a school program.
