Flower Child Fudge available in more stores
Flower Child Fudge is now in stock at approximately two dozen stores and venues across the county, including Steamer Lane Supply, The Food Bin, The Multi Shoppe and Wild Roots Market, plus The Sunshine in Pescadero and additional Bay Area shops. For a full list and more details, visit the website flowerchildfudge.com. Katie Belanger launched Flower Child Fudge in January after closing downtown Santa Cruz’s Honey B Market last year (The Buzz Sushi, which took over that spot, also carries her fudge). Ingredients include cacao, dates, coconut manna, vanilla and salt. Belanger wraps the fudge in hand-pressed paper containing wildflower seeds that you can plant in your garden. She also hand-wraps each piece of fudge in flowery fabric (mostly purchased from local business Harts Fabric). To stay in the loop, follow the business on Instagram @flowerchildfudge.

Limits continue at Glaum Egg Ranch
Glaum Egg Ranch (3100 Valencia Road, 831-688-3898, glaumeggranch.com) is continuing to limit the number of eggs each customer may purchase. It sells eggs at the ranch using two methods: the self-serve vending machine (which includes a “dancing chicken show”) and the Glaum Barn Store, which also offers local grocery items and gifts. Vending machine hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday; barn hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
A message posted on social media last month announced, “To ensure we can continue serving our community effectively, we must implement a limit on our egg sales. We cherish our community and aim to provide eggs daily during our regular business hours.” A spokesperson recently shared that if they didn’t enforce limits, they would sell out around 10 a.m. every day. The locally owned 100% cage free and organic family farm has been in business since 1921; the current owners and operators are the fourth generation of the Glaum family.
