Police arrest man on suspicion of bank robbery, separate attempted robbery
Boulder police arrested a 46-year-old man Thursday on suspicion of robbing a bank and, earlier, attempting to rob a woman, according to a news release.
David Lloyd Martinez, 46, is accused of robbing the U.S. Bank at 1650 28th St., according to the Friday release. Officials say officers were dispatched to the bank at 2:33 p.m. and eventually arrested Martinez in the area of University Avenue and Broadway. Boulder Jewish Festival set for Sunday
The Boulder Jewish Festival is marching on from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday between 13th Street and 14th Street on the Pearl Street Mall. It’s the same area in which the antisemitic firebombing attack occurred on June 1.
In light of the attack, which injured 15 people, there will be increased security, according to the Boulder Jewish Community Center website. Run for Their Lives, which advocates for the release of 58 dead and alive hostages held by Hamas and was the target of the attack, will be “centered” during the festival, according to a statement on the JCC website.
