Patricia Ann Dowell, “Patti” was a caring, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 26, 2022 at age 85, in Covina, CA.

Patti was born January 20, 1937 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Ann and William Nickell. At 13yrs old her family moved to El Monte, California, where she graduated from El Monte High School. She married Jesse Dowell in 1956 and they enjoyed 51 years together, raising four children in Baldwin Park, CA. Patti was an exceptional wife and mother, raising her two biological children and her niece and nephew, while taking care of her parents in her home. She was a beautiful person who loved family and friends.

Patti loved reading James Patterson books, playing bingo, bowling, crochet and she loved the Baldwin Park Woman’s Club, and was in charge of ‘crafts’ for many years. The City of Baldwin Park recognized her as “Senior Citizen of the year” for her volunteer work in 2014, an award she was very proud of. She was a devoted grandmother, and generous with her time in helping others.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse, her parents Ann and William Nickell, and her brother James Nickell (Jeannie). She is survived by her brother Roy “Butch”

Nickell (Joanie), children: Mike (DeAnn), Mark (Dolores), niece: Karen Delgado, nephew: Tim Nickell, 2 grandchildren: Lauren Dowell, Ryan Dowell (Fiorella), 1 great grandchild: Brooklyn Dowell. She will be greatly missed.
