He is survived by his wife Alta of 34 years, his son and stepsons Brian Drumm of Durango, Troy Brosious of Boulder, Pastor Joe Brosious of Madison Wisconsin, five grandchildren Shylene Dr umm, Nicole, Hannah, Mason and Connor Brosious, and two great grandchildren Evan and Elijah Chang.

We will hold a public service at 4:00 PM on Friday March 7th, 2025 at the Westview (Lutheran) Church, 6710 Arapahoe in Boulder, and all are invited to a celebration after ward at the Tri-City Elks Lodge at 525 Main Street in Louisville.

Dennis was born and spent most of his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri. A 1963 graduate of Webster Groves High School, he went on to earn a B.A. in Architecture and an M.A. in Regional and Community Planning from Kansas State University. In 1967 he was President of his fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha, and received Phi Kappa Phi Scholastic Honorary recognition.

He was in ROTC during his University years, and was commissioned as a Captain into the Army Corps of Engineers. He was honorably discharged in 1970 but remained active in the Army Reserves until 1976.

After graduation Dennis accepted a position with Oblinger-Smith, providing public and private urban design and direction for capital improvements and land use. Dennis worked on projects in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Delaware, and was the Director of the Denver office until he resigned in 1975 to work as a consultant. In 1978 he became the Director of Community Development for the City of Louisville, with Leon Wurl, City Administer. Residents said that their talent and vision and enthusiasm had helped Louisville become a place where people really wanted to live.

Dennis also served on the Governor's Front Range Commission in 1977, helped start the Louisville Elks Lodge (now Tri-City Elks) as a charter member (50 years ago), and was awarded Honorary Louisville Citizenship in 1979. After becoming Associated Land Consultants but still officing in Louisville, he started the Louisville Chamber of Commerce as its first President in 1982. One other notable charter membership was the Louisville Duck Club in 1984. The story goes that Dennis's then wife Arleen was working in his office on Main Street and happened to look out the window as Leon was walking across the street with a line of others trailing behind. She quipped that they looked like a bunch of ducks. Ergo - The Duck Club. As Associated Land Consultants, Dennis worked for Colorado cities needing to update so they could deal with the growth they were all experiencing - Central City, Nederland, Lone Tree and others. He also worked for numerous subdivision developers. In 1995 he went on staff for the Town of Erie as city planner, later as Director of Community Development, and then as Town Administrator until 2002. He remained an active member of the Erie Historical Society as Treasurer, helping with the Wise Museum and with the project to bring back Biscuit Day, something the Town hadn't celebrated in over 100 years. He'd had a real estate broker's license for years, and in his last few working years helped with Alta's real estate brokerage, managing their own proper ties until he retired in 2021. Dennis was never one to boast, but his vision and creative ability and energy for whatever he set his sights on shaped much of what we all enjoy in the beauty of this area today. His coworkers and friends, and there have been many, have known him for his kindness and generosity and sense of humor. He loved everyone. He could work out a solution to almost any conflict, and he always had a story to tell. We truly miss him and we feel so blessed to have been in his life.

Rest in peace, dear Dennis. We'll see you on the other side. If you would like to make a donation, the family would like to suggest that it be given to the Tri-City Elks Lodge Scholarship Fund, 525 Main Street, Louisville CO 80027
