Broomfield boys wrestling: The Eagles finished fourth at the 21-team Northglenn Invitational on Saturday. Asher Diamond (126-pound weight class) and August Soto (132s) won their brackets.
Broomfield girls basketball: The Eagles (12-1), fifth in CHSAA’s 6A rankings, went 3-0 last week with wins over Frederick, Horizon and Rocky Mountain. Their leading scorer, freshman Reece Gilpatrick (12.8 ppg), posted on social media that she recently received an offer from the University of Colorado.
Fairview boys basketball: The Knights (10-2) beat Boulder and Niwot last week to push their win streak to four games. Senior Spencer Brown leads the team with 16.8 points per game this winter.
Holy Family girls wrestling: The Tigers finished fifth at the 18-team Loveland girls’ Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Veronika Hafer won the 100-pound weight class on the back of three pins. Makayla Ward (130s) and Frances Bralish (140s-145s) took second in their brackets.
Legacy boys basketball: The Lightning (7-5) beat Skyline, Fort Collins and Centaurus last week —all by at least 26 points.
Longmont boys basketball: The Trojans (9-3) cracked into CHSAA’s 5A top 10 (No. 10) as their win streak is now up to nine games. After topping Centaurus in overtime Tuesday, they beat Standley Lake and D’Evelyn by an average of 25.5 points.
Mead girls basketball: The 5A No. 2 Mavericks (13-2) beat 6A No. 15 Monarch and 5A No. 13 Frederick last week. They won by an average of 35 points across the two games.
Monarch ice hockey: 5A’s top-ranked Coyotes (8-1-2) continued their hot streak, beating No. 6 Denver East on Wednesday for their fourth straight win. In it, Zachary Rathbun scored his team-leading seventh goal.
Skyline boys wrestling: The Falcons finished seventh at the 21-team Northglenn invite Saturday. Tobias Pinson (144s) had four pins to win his bracket in dominant fashion. Brody Hufford (106s) took third.
Silver Creek girls swimming: The Raptors won the six-team St. Vrain All-District meet, edging second-place Niwot. Annika Sesselmann won the 100-yard breaststroke (1 minute and 9.82 seconds) and 200 individual medley (2:19.59).

Matthew Angelo, Mead basketball: The senior led Mead (8-6) to two wins last week. He scored 24 on 9-of-11 shooting in a win over Monarch on Tuesday. He then had 26 points, going 8-of-11, in a win against Frederick on Friday.
Terra Brubaker, Longmont basketball: The junior had a career-high in points and rebounds in a win over Centaurus on Tuesday, tallying 18 and 18. She now has two double-doubles in her past three games.
Caleb Christiansen, Lyons basketball: The senior averaged 23 points, six rebounds, seven assists and eight steals last week as Lyons (5-4) won three straight. In two of those wins, he had double-doubles. He had 31 points and 10 steals against Liberty Common on Thursday. A day later, he had 21 points and 10 assists against Front Range Christian. In that game, teammate Zeke Paznokas had a game-high 36 points.
Alexandra Eschmeyer, Peak to Peak basketball: The Stanford commit notched her 11th straight double-double to open the season and now has 19 straight going back to last winter. In a win over Stargate School on Wednesday, she finished with 31 points, shooting 14-of-22, and had 15 boards (nine on the offensive glass).
Makayla Goodbrand, Erie swimming: The freshman won the 100-yard freestyle (54.52 seconds) as well as the 100 backstroke (1:01.35) at the St. Vrain All-District meet.
Shayla Martinez, Broomfield wrestling: Martinez pinned all four of her opponents at the 40-team Tiara Challenge in Castle Rock on Saturday. She is ranked second in 190s behind Pine Creek’s Melanie Marin Lopez by On The Mat.
Caleb McCollum, Erie wrestling: The senior finished runner-up in the 165-pound bracket at the 34-team Top of the Rockies tournament over the weekend. The Tigers finished an area-best 13th as a team.
Olivia Mortensen, Legacy basketball: Three more double-doubles — and a triple-double — for Mortensen last week. And three more wins for Legacy (8-5). In a win over Skyline seven days ago, Mortensen’s triple-double came with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Overall last week, the senior averaged 27 points, 13 boards and seven steals.
Jimeto Orji, Jefferson Academy basketball: The junior had 48 points across two games last week for the Jaguars (8-2), who beat Pomona before falling to 4A No. 1 Kent Denver. In the win, he had 28 points on 13-of-18 shooting to go along with 17 rebounds. In the loss, he had 20 points and 12 boards.
Mason Shore, Centaurus wrestling: The senior finished second in the 190-pound weight class at the 34-team Top of the Rockies tournament over the weekend. Ranked second in 5A 190s by On The Mat, he was pinned in the finals by Ponderosa’s De’Alcapon Veazy, who is No. 1.
