CineChef turns 10 this year and to celebrate, Boulder International Film Festival’s culinary competition reeled in some of Colorado’s big bosses.
“CineChef is special every year, but we really hit the jackpot with this year’s chefs and restaurants represented,” Kathy Beeck, director and co-founder of BIFF, said in a statement. “It’s going to be an incredibly delicious and fun evening to kick off our 21st annual festival.”
Boulder legends — “Top Chef” winner and James Beard semifinalist Hosea Rosenberg, of Blackbelly, and the 2022 James Beard semifinalist Edwin Zoe, of Zoe Ma Ma — are among the stars.
The party kicks off BIFF’s four-day weekend of a celebration of film. CineChef runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 13 at Rembrandt Yard, 1301 Spruce St., Boulder. The event usually sells out, so snag a $120 ticket at biff1.com. A limited number of “Amuse Bouche” tickets are available for $170. Those include early entry, a glass of bubbly and a gift.
CineChef is a friendly battle that pits chefs against each other as they create film-inspired plates. Guests then taste and vote for their favorite.
