OU to host health symposium this week
Oakland University will host Healthology Symposium: Achieving Healthy Diversity from 2 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 12 in the Oakland Center.
The symposium is planned by health leaders from the School of Health Sciences, The event features lightning talks, interactive presentations, networking and refreshments.
Keynote speakers Gina Kell Spehn and Michael Spehn share their experiences with losing their first spouses, blending families, and starting the New Day Foundation for Families Fighting Cancer in 2007, aiming to help families cope with the financial and emotional burdens of cancer.
