The girls golf season is underway.

The 10 players below aren’t necessarily the top players in the area. But all of them should be intriguing to follow throughout the spring season.

Hope Torres, Prospect Ridge Academy: After conquering the 3A state tournament with a playoff last season, the PRA senior looks to lead her team back to a state championship — this time in 2A.

Acadia Curtis, Holy Family: She finished 11th at the 4A state tournament as a freshman a year ago. Now, she helps lead a 3A title contender in 2025 alongside junior Steffi Heitz, sophomore Dannika Nielsen and senior Fiona Holmes.

Paige Danforth, Jefferson Academy: A year ago as a freshman, she finished 13th at the 3A state tournament. With an improved game, she could shoot for a top-10 finish, if not better, this spring.

Steffi Heitz, Holy Family: The junior finished 10th at the 4A state tournament a year ago, leading the Tigers to a runner-up team finish. This year, she could be among the title favorites as Holy Family will play in 3A.

Eme Hickey, Fairview: Her sister, Ava, qualified for the state tournament four times. Eme will be among the leaders this spring for the Knights, who graduated 20 players from last year.

Mia Huerta, Broomfield: Huerta and fellow senior Lexie Chenoweth are aiming to qualify for their third state tournament this spring. Last year in 4A, Huerta led the Eagles, placing 50th at the Country Club of Colorado. This year, the 4A tournament is on Broomfield’s home course — Broadlands Golf Course.

Kenna Miller, Erie: Miller will be one of the new faces of the Tigers, who didn’t return any of their top four from last year’s 4A three-peat.

Pippa Cooper, Monarch: The junior attended IMG Academy Golf Club in Florida for a year before making her return to the Coyotes. She’ll likewise be coming back from a recent wrist surgery, but head coach Geoff Findley expects her to do big things this year.

Isla Briggs, Longmont: The sophomore just missed out on a state qualification during her high school debut season, but led the Trojans with a 24th-place finish at regionals last year.

Wendy Cheruiyot, Niwot: The sophomore placed 13th at the 4A state meet as a freshman and looks to improve upon that mark in her second season.
