If you’re looking for a place to stay after partying at Pride this June, you might consider these L.A. hotels offering a range of perks.
Pride events celebrate and commemorate the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan and the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have had on history locally, nationally and internationally. Long Beach got a head start May 18 and 19 with its Pride Parade parties in Marina Green Park. West Hollywood also has launched festivities with the annual celebration of Harvey Milk Day, but the main events are slated for June.
Kicking off the monthlong L.A. Pride a day early is the Outloud Music Festival, part of WeHo Pride, on Friday, with performances by Adam Lambert and Kesha. They’ll be followed Saturday and June 2 by Kylie Minogue, Janelle Monáe, Diplo and more.
Following West Hollywood’s music festival and parade will be L.A. Pride in the Park on June 8 at L.A. State Historic Park, which will feature dozens of local and LGBTQ+ vendors, beer gardens and a performance from “Livin’ la Vida Loca” hitmaker Ricky Martin. The Grammy winner will be the first Latin artist to perform as a headliner at L.A. Pride. On June 9, a free block party will happen adjacent to the parade with performances, vendors, pop-up bars and more.
With nonstop celebration and back-to-back events come jammed Southern California freeways and increased ride-share prices, but not to fret — Los Angeles hotels are poised and ready to offer accommodations. Discounts, room upgrades, late checkouts and included cocktails are just a few of the Pride Month perks they’re offering in June.
