Broomfield girls basketball: The Eagles improved to 6-0 on the season, beating Lutheran and Poudre last week. Freshman Reece Gilpatrick leads the team at 13.2 points per game this winter.

Centaurus girls basketball: The Warriors (3-4) won three of their past four games heading into winter break, beating Regis Groff, 32-25, on Thursday. Senior Ingrid Lorton had 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting in the win.

Fairview girls basketball: The Knights (5-2) beat Mountain Range and Brighton last week. Sophomore Chloe Hickory leads the team at 12 points per game this season.

Holy Family girls basketball: The Tigers (3-1) outscored Peak to Peak by 15 in the first half and held on for the 53-44 win.

Jefferson Academy boys basketball: The Jaguars (7-1) won by an average of 28 points at the Bob LaVoie Memorial Tournament last week, beating Conifer, Kennedy and Skyview.

Longmont boys basketball: The Trojans (3-3) beat Evergreen, Bear Creek and Thompson Valley at the Trojan Classic last week.

Mead wrestling: Renee Hudson had six pins, winning the girls’ 110-pound weight class at the Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament in Greeley. The Mavericks took sixth out of 53 girls’ teams. Behind a win from Leister Bowling IV (175s) and a runner-up from William Eilers (215s), the boys finished 10th out of 87 teams.

Niwot girls basketball: The Cougars (7-1) have won five straight after beating Pomona, Prairie View and Greeley West last week.

Peak to Peak boys basketball: The Pumas (5-0) used a big fourth quarter to beat Holy Family, 57-50, on Saturday.

Prospect Ridge boys basketball: The Miners (6-1), led by Liam Schilling (15.6 points per game), beat Timnath, Pine Bluffs (Wyoming) and Grand Valley at the Winter Showcase at Resurrection Christian last week.

Alexandra Eschmeyer, Peak to Peak basketball: The Stanford commit, who is averaging 24.1 points and 14 rebounds this season, recorded her 1,000th-career rebound in the loss to Holy Family on Saturday. In the game, she finished with 24 points and 13 boards.

Rowan Gantzer, Lyons wrestling: Ganzer had three pins as he won the 106-pound weight class at the Bob Smith Invitational at Wray High School on Saturday.

Ari Harpring, Legacy basketball: The senior had 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting as the Lightning (3-4) beat Mountain Range by six on Thursday.

Hazel Huilman, Boulder swimming: The junior swam the top state time this season in the 100-yard breaststroke (1 minute and 5.86 seconds) and the second-best time in the 200 individual medley (2:09.85 seconds) on Wednesday.

Hadley Larson, Silver Creek swimming: Larson won the 100 and 200 freestyle in a dual win over Holy Family on Wednesday. The Raptors are 5-0 on the season.

Shayla Martinez, Broomfield wrestling: Martinez had four pins as she won the girls’ 190-pound weight class at the Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament in Greeley.

Olivia Mortensen, Legacy basketball: Mortensen’s hot start to the season continued as she had two double-doubles with a combined 36 points and 26 rebounds last week.

Jack Wadlington, Broomfield basketball: The senior point guard hit a buzzer-beating 3 to lift the Eagles (4-4) past Campbell County, 71-70, on Friday at the Broomfield Legends Hall of Fame Tournament.

Sienna Williams, Monarch basketball: The sophomore had 20 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, five blocks and three steals in a 20-point win over Boulder on Tuesday. Williams is averaging 19.3 points and 18.2 rebounds this winter.

Zoe Wittler, Frederick basketball: The senior had 22 points, seven rebounds and eight steals in a 69-64 overtime win over Standley Lake on Tuesday. She is averaging 15.9 points this season.
