A man was charged with DUI but was not seriously injured after driving his car into a Boulder home early Saturday morning.
About 12:30 a.m., Boulder police received a call that an SUV had struck a house in the 3500 block of Fourth Street, according to an email from Boulder Police Department Public Information Officer Dionne Waugh.
The male driver was found in his SUV, which was upside down and partially inside the home. The house was significantly damaged, but no one involved suffered major injuries.
Boulder Fire-Rescue and Mountain View Fire Rescue joined police in responding to the incident and assisting the driver. In addition to DUI, officers charged the 42-year-old driver with careless driving and texting while driving. He was taken to the Boulder County Jail.
