Archie Williams picked up its third win in a row this week as the Peregrine Falcons held off San Rafael, 37-21, at home. Delphina Dong and Lydia Battaglia led the Falcons with six points each, and Kaeley Sullivan added four points while controlling the glass. The Falcons (13-8, 3-3 MCAL) are in position to make the MCAL playoffs as a potential fourth seed, with two league games remaining.

Aly Seater scored eight points and Jessica Vara tipped in five for the Bulldogs (3-14, 0-6) will try to avoid a winless league season as they face San Marin and Terra Linda next season.

• Avery Myerberg put up 20 points as The Branson School beat Novato, 51-22, Thursday at College of Marin as the teams jostle for playoff position. Kate Spaulding added 12 points for the Bulls (12-10, 3-4 MCAL), who jump two spots to fifth place in the standings, while Novato (12-10, 2-4) falls two places to seventh.

• San Domenico earned a 60-35 home victory over Urban on Thursday. The Panthers’ Carly Amborn led the way with 35 points, including nine 3-pointers, and Tosia Konczak scored 17. With the win, San Domenico (11-11, 5-2 BCL-West) tightens its grip on second place with three league games remaining.

Boys basketball

San Domenico won a defensive slugfest Thursday, 46-33, against Urban in San Francisco to avenge narrow loss to the Blues two weeks earlier, and to remain in the hunt for the regular-season title.

After playing to a 17-17 tie through the first half, the Panthers limited the Blues to just two points in the third quarter as San Domenico led for the remainder of the game. Gavin Early finished with 17 points and Irakli Jokhadze chipped in nine points for the Panthers (16-6, 5-2 BCL-West). The second-place Panthers have just three regular-season games left, including a Feb. 4 matchup against league leader Lick-Wilmerding.

• Dylan Chelew scored a team-high 12 points as St. Vincent de Paul dominated the first half Thursday, then held on to beat Ukiah, 54-33. The Mustangs got eight points from both Roman Yusupov and multi-sport athlete, who recently received an offer to play football at San Diego State. St. Vincent (14-8) is at Santa Rosa on Saturday.

Girls soccer

San Domenico battled Lick-Wilmerding to a scoreless tie Thursday, locking up the final berth in the Bay Counties League West playoffs in the process. The Panthers earned strong performances from Lillie Plunkett, Piper Papay, Coda Swaim and Jocelyn Morrow in the shutout. The Panthers are scheduled to play Convent-Stuart Hall on Saturday at College of Marin.

College baseball

Solo home runs by Wyatt Davis and Derek Bartram to start the game weren’t enough to carry College of Marin in Friday’s 10-7 road loss to College of the Sequoias in Visalia. The Mariners (2-3) led 6-3 before the Giants (3-2) drove in six runs in the bottom of the seventh and went on to sweep the two-game set with the Mariners. Davis was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and Bartram was 3-for-5, while Dante Caiati doubled and drove in two runs.

College softball

Dominican University split a pair of games at the Concordia Kickoff on Friday in Irvine. Kassidy Stetler was magnificent in the circle for Dominican during a 3-2 victory over Fort Lewis. Stetler did not allow an earned run, while striking out six in a complete game to earn the victory. The Penguins (1-1) fell to CSU Dominguez Hills, 5-2, earlier in the day.
