What's the deal with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump? He says so many ridiculous things. Before he can say anything about it, he says another one. Half the things that are coming out of this guy's mouth are lies.

Occasionally, when I can stomach it, I listen to a “progressive” station on my car radio. Well, it's beyond amazing how the station's ultra-liberals pontificate on the abuse allegations against Donald Trump. They literally paint the guy as a rapist. However, they must be suffering amnesia, because they never make any reference to the very real dirty deeds involving women that Hillary's husband engaged in while on the American citizenry's dime. Curious.

From time to time, we learn about public figures who have made lewd, suggestive or inappropriate comments in the past. An old video recording comes out, gets published online, and everyone is outraged and offended. These people who are so disgusted need to get off their self-righteous high-horses, and they need to drop their hypocritical moral outrage. As if they have never said anything bigoted, insulting, or politically incorrect about a person or group of people in their whole lives. As if they have never made a biased assumption, an insensitive joke, or a crude comment in their whole lives. We are all guilty of it, but few are brave enough to admit it. That would be social and political suicide because such an individual would be demonized, criticized, and despised for their honesty.

I wonder about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump having so much admiration for President Vladimir Putin from Russia. I wonder if he ever noticed that people who disagree with Mr. Putin suddenly disappear or they die of unknown reasons. Maybe that's why he's got an 82 percent approval rating in Russia. People that disagree with him don't get to vote and can't vote from the grave.

With this penny an ounce tax Toni Preckwinkle wants, it will make buying booze cheaper than soda. I will drive to another county for my soda purchases. She's making a big mistake.

The Cook County voters who automatically vote “Democrat” have got to wonder, why? Madigan, his lemmings, public union leaders and now, Preckwinkle, who's putting a 1 cent PER OUNCE tax on all our soft drinks are stiffing us again. They're the ones that put all of us and our wallets in the hole in the first place. You may not like Republicans, but to continue to vote the way you always do is just plain stupid. Use some common sense, the alternative may not be of your liking but its got to be better than what we've all had to endure over the last 30-plus years. P.S. Are they going to tax the air we breathe?

It seems like every time you turn around, President Barack Obama is in a foreign country. America's at $19 trillion now in debt. The president is partially to blame for the last $2 trillion. Americans are losing their homes and losing jobs. It never stops. We need roads, bridges, schools and repairs, and he's in other countries. He doesn't realize this is America. It's about time the Americans said, “Forget foreign,” and took care of America itself.
