An Oakland County woman experienced a paralyzing sense of disbelief, according to state lottery officials, after scratching a ticket and finding a $4 million prize.

The woman chose to remain anonymous, but lottery officials said she bought the $30 Michigan Lottery’s Electric 300s instant game at Kroger, 670 Highland Ave. in Milford.

“I scratched the ticket in my car in the store parking lot when I was done shopping. When I saw I won $4 million, I was frozen in my seat for a while,” she said, adding that her husband had a hard time believing the news when she got home.

The 77-year-old woman chose to receive $133,000 annual payments for the next 30 years rather than a lump sum $2.7 million payment. She told lottery officials she’ll spend the money on home repairs, donations and on her family.
