Woodland Police Department is currently accepting applications for police officers including lateral officers, academy graduates and recruits.

A WPD Facebook post mentions that all qualified applicants can receive a hiring bonus of up to $10,000. The base pay is $7,044.18 to $9,439.87 and Lateral officers will receive 40 hours of vacation & accrual which is based on years of service. On-duty workout and no experience is needed.

In December, the Woodland Police Department swore in two new professional staff employees. Records Specialist Precilla Barrón and Management Analyst Anuelle Jumuad were both officially welcomed during a ceremony in front of family, friends and fellow department staff.

Earlier this year in January, the WPD also welcomed four new employees Officers Brittni Grigsby, Melad Khalil, Scott Rossell and Kevin Schroeder with a swearing-in ceremony. The celebration took place inside the new Woodland Community College Culinary and Performing Arts Center.
