Quite a difference from a year ago: Wednesday high pressure will push off to the east and with winds picking-up out of the south, temperatures will warm into the 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Can you remember last year at this time? We woke up Nov. 12, 2019, with a 3- to 5-inch snow cover and single-digit temperatures at many locations. With that snow cover, it stayed cold all day — we set two records – the official low at O’Hare was 7 degrees and the high temp of 17 was the coldest high temp for Nov. 12 – records date to 1871.

We could experience a few sprinkles or flurries as a cold front passes Thursday night, but our next chance of significant precipitation in the form of rain looks to occur Saturday into Sunday ahead of low pressure moving out of the central plains.
